The Leather
Dollaro-grain Italian cowhide.
Dollaro is a pebble-embossed cowhide finished in Italian tanneries — part of the pebble-grain family favored by luxury houses for one reason: it stays quiet. The tumbled pebble grain gives a uniform, matte-refined surface that resists the scratches and scuffs of daily carry far better than smooth leather. It doesn't shout. It doesn't peel. It simply looks composed, every day.
We chose Dollaro because Aurekto's entire idea depends on the closed state. When your case is resting against your bag, it has to read as a considered leather object — not an accessory asking for attention. Dollaro's texture is what makes that possible.
Why not smooth leather?
Smooth calf shows every fingernail mark and bag-buckle scuff within weeks. For an object designed to be touched, opened, and carried daily, pebble grain is the honest choice — beauty that survives actual use.
The Hardware
Gold-tone snap hardware, softly finished.
The snap closure uses gold-tone hardware in a warm gold color that complements the leather. The four-point closure keeps the silhouette clean and the card fully enclosed, with a snap tension tuned to open in one motion and stay shut in your bag.
The Construction
- Edge-painted seams — each edge is coated and polished so no raw leather is exposed, the finishing detail that separates leather goods from leather crafts.
- Interior frame — sized for standard photocards (55 × 85 mm), holding the card flat without pressure marks.
- Proportions — scaled to sit naturally on the bags people actually carry, from structured totes to soft shoulder bags.
Origin
Italian leather. Designed and made in Seoul, Korea.
The Dollaro cowhide is tanned and finished in Italy. Everything else — cutting, assembly, edge-painting, and hardware — is done in Korea. Country of origin: Republic of Korea.
Honest by Nature
Leather is a natural material. Grain patterns, subtle tonal shifts, and the way each piece softens over time will differ slightly from case to case — including from the photographs on this site. These are not flaws. They are the reason no two Aurekto cases are identical, including yours.
